Bringing the beloved John Marsden books to life, ABC and Ambience Entertainment have announced that a new mini-series of Tomorrow, When The War Began will commence pre-production in June.
Published in 1993, the novels follow the new reality of a group of teenagers who have been separated from their families after their country is invaded, and the challenges they face in order to survive in this shocking new world.
The six part, 1 hour per episode series which is currently casting, has garnered a stellar creative team, encompassing executive producers Kim Vercera (Cloudstreet, Tangle), Matthew Street (The Messenger), and Christopher Mapp (The Bank Job), producer Tom Winley (Farscape), and with Brendan Maher (Sisters of War, Return to Nim’s Island) in the director’s chair.
The series will be produced in Victoria and financed by the ABC, Screen Australia, Film Victoria, and Ingenious Investments.
