Fargo adds some magical talent to its third season cast

As we eagerly anticipate the return of Fargo for its third season, FX have announced new additions to its cast.

Set to join the already revealed Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the “True Crime” series inspired by the Coen Brothers classic film of the same name are David Thewlis (Harry Potter Series, pictured), Michael Stuhlbarg (Boardwalk Empire), and comedian Jim Gaffigan (The Jim Gaffigan Show).

Little is known about the plot of the series, but we do know it will be set in 2010 and will focus on “The Parking Lot King of Minnesota”, Emmit Stussy, and his younger brother Ray, both set to be played by McGregor.

Also starring in the series will be Scoot McNairy (Halt & Catch Fire), Shea Whigham (Vice Principals), Karan Soni (Blunt Talk), Fred Melamed (Casual, Lady Dynamite), and Thomas Mann (Me, Earl and the Dying Girl).

Production will commence in January in Calgary, Canada, and will premiere later in 2017.
