Final episode of Margaret and David’s At The Movies details revealed

at the movies

It will be a sad goodbye to a very long-running Australian program as At the Movies with beloved film critics Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton bring their 28-year show to a close. From SBS to ABC, they have been the most trusted and most respected of film critics and so their final episode is guaranteed to be an honest, unfettered look into the what the rest of 2014 cinema has to offer.

The last episode ever of At the Movies will be a fun-filled hour packed full of nostalgia alongside the pair’s final movie reviews. Expect to see bloopers, discussions, interviews with filmmakers and actors, and some great behind the scenes footage.

Films reviewed will include American Sniper, Exodus: Gods and Kings, Inherent Vice, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, and Big Hero 6. Birdman, Foxcatcher, Still Alice and Wild will also be on the list.

Foreign films will also be up for critique, with reviews of Human Capital, and Leviathan, while homegrown cinema is inspected with The Water Diviner and Paper Planes. UK productions The Imitation Game, Mr Turner, and Theory of Everything – all UK productions – will round out the list.

There will also be a look back on the year that was, with Margaret and David sharing their ‘top 5’ films of 2014.

The final At the Movies will air on ABC at 9:30pm on Tuesday, December 9th
