Nintendo’s final Super Smash Bros DLC characters Corrin and Bayonetta and the sixth wave of Mii fighter costumes will be landing on 3DS and Wii U systems this Thursday, February 4th in Australia.
The release of Corrin and Bayonetta will conclude the roster for Super Smash Bros for 3DS and Wii U. This last DLC will bring the game to a grand total of 58 playable characters, more fighters than any previous game in the series.
Bayonetta’s arrival to the game was decided by popular vote, beating out other fighters from previous games. As a heavy-combo based fighter, Bayonetta employs a fighting style that matches her game play from the original Bayonetta series.
Her signature ability called ‘Witch Time’ will slow down opponents within range, making her combos incredibly deadly. For her final smash move, Bayonetta summons a demon which bites down on her opponents with its massive teeth.
Fire Emblem Fates sword-fighter Corrin will join the roster with two playable variants available, a male and female form. The dragon blood inside of Corrin’s veins allows him to partially or completely transform into a dragon to pull off his attacks.
His skills include ‘Dragon Fang Shot’, a chargeable shot that briefly paralyses his enemies. One of his core attacks, the side smash has tremendous range, and does extra damage at the tip of the attack. Corrin’s final smash transform him into dragon, slamming down on the ground, causing a shock wave to form which damages his opponents.
Corrin will cost AU$6.50 on either Wii U or 3DS or AU$7.80 for both game versions together, while Bayonetta will cost AU$7.80 for either platform, or AU$9.10 for both. Bayonetta is more expensive since it comes with a exclusive new stage called Umbra Clock Tower.
