It’s been announced that the upcoming Ocean’s 8 has commenced its production. Directed by Gary Ross with an all-star cast including the likes of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter. The film’s plot will explore eight women planning on executing a heist in New York City.
Ross has written the screenplay with Olivia Milch, Steven Soderbergh and Jon Kilik as producers and Michael Tadross, Susan Ekins, Sandra Bullock, Diana Alvarez and Bruce Berman as executive producers. Milch will be co-producing Ocean’s 8. In addition, current filming is taking place in and around NYC.
The film is set for release in the Summer of 2018. Worldwide distribution will be taken care of by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
