Gerald Butler returns as Mike Banning in the first trailer for London Has Fallen

Another sequel is set to hit screens this Summer, with the follow up to 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen arriving in the form of London Has Fallen – and this week the first trailer was released. The trailer sees star Gerald Butler return as secret service head Mike Banning, and Morgan Freeman is back as the US President, with Banning having to team up with a MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) this time around as we move the action to the British capital.

The synopsis is looking a little like this:

The sequel to Olympus Has Fallen begins in London, where the British Prime Minister has passed away under mysterious circumstances. His funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the western world. But what starts out as the most protected event on earth, turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate every known landmark in the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. Only three people have any hope of stopping it: the President of the United States, his formidable secret service head (Butler), and an English MI-6 agent who rightly trusts no one.
