Dreamworks is making good on its promise to bring us a third film in the hugely successful Kung Fu Panda series, with the first trailer for the film starring Jack Black seeing the light of day earlier today – though the film itself won’t be released until late March 2016. But, as is typical of a first trailer for an animation, we’re not getting much information about the plot itself.
So far all we know is that the film, which continues his “the legendary adventures of awesomeness of Po”, sees our lead Panda “face two hugely epic, but different threats: one supernatural and the other a little closer to his home.”
Though the trailer doesn’t tell us much about what to expect from the film, we do get a pretty funny scene where father meets son – Po’s father (Li) being played by none other than Walter White himself (Bryan Cranston). Australia’s Rebel Wilson and Oscar winner J.K. Simmons (we’re still pretty excited to say that about him) will also join the cast that sees Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen and co reprising their roles. The only other thing worth noting is that the lighting for the film looks really pretty in the trailer’s opening scene.
