Gilmore Girls Netflix Series Officially Announced for 2017

After months of rumors and speculation, Netflix has announced it will be reviving the classic series in 2017.

Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is returning to write and direct alongside former-cast members Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Lauren Graham, Sean Gunn, Kelly Bishop and Keiko Agena.

It’s far from the first revival pick-up Netflix has made but it feels like one of the most high-profile yet.

There’s no word yet on when in 2017 the series will launch, nor how many episodes the new season will be, but fans can expect to see more news trickle out as production ramps up.
