Here is our first look at Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows, the sequel to his 2014 reboot which went on the make a cool $493 million worldwide. It looks like Bay will continue to dip into the rich mythology that has been built since the mid-80s, bringing out new characters and transposing them into the highly cinematic, glossy world the Director has created to re-introduce these four walking, talking, crime-fighting turtles to a new generation.
Though, the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film wasn’t exactly a critical success, it did give us a fun, exciting round of big, elaborate action pieces (that ski slope scene!) and slightly awkward CGI. Megan Foxx and Will Arnett come back for more fantastical action, but it’s the new additions to the cast which has fans of the TMNT series most interested.
Arrow star Stephen Amell enters the series as Casey Jones, joining a handful of new characters including the much loved Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Sheamus). Tyler Perry will also star as Baxter Stockman, and Brittany Ishibashi as Karai, a Foot Clan leader.
