Hyrule Warriors: Legends, an exclusive 3DS release, will be making its debut on March 24. Packed with even more content than its predecessor, Legends will feature five brand new characters, the ability to command and switch between four characters on the battlefield and two new exclusive story lines.
From Koei Tecmo’s long-time running Warriors series, known for its large scale combat on battlefields, infused with The Legend of Zelda timeline, players will be able to take on hordes of enemies whilst reliving the classic Zelda games. In addition, battlegrounds will be inspired from The Legend of Zelda series: Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword.
Legends will bring two new exclusive stories, a four-chapter epilogue based on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and the second story is a five-chapter story based on newcomer Linkle, a dual-crossbow wielding Cucco farmer. We will also be welcoming newcomers such as Toon Link, Tetra and King Daphnes from Wind Waker, and the Skull kid from Majora’s Mask.
My Fairy Mode will be a new addition to the series, where players will be able to explore and come across fairies in Adventure mode. These fairies can be levelled up for additional benefits across the battlefield modes. By increasing their trust bars by feeding and dressing them up, players will be able to change their personality traits and strengthen their Fairy magic.
Paired with the amiibo, players will be able to generate more powerful versions of previously unlocked weapons for their characters. Upcoming Wolf Link amiibo will be able to bestow more powerful weapons onto Midna or Twili Midna.
Hyrule Warriors: Legends will have a limited edition release, which features a copy of the game and a compass (a watch replica of Linkle’s family heirloom compass). Alongside the debut of the game on March 24, we will be seeing the release of the New Nintendo 3DS XL Hyrule Edition.
