Insomniac Games have unveiled the contents of the Collector’s Edition for their upcoming PS4 exclusive Spider-Man and (finally) a release date!
As of right now, the Spiderman Collector’s Edition seems to be an EB Games exclusive so if you want one, you’ll have to go there to pre-order ahead of the game’s September 7th, 2018 release date. But what’s in the collector’s edition?
The collector’s edition includes the season pass which itself includes 3 post-launch story chapters titled Marvel’s Spider-Man “The City That Never Sleeps”, featuring new missions, new suits and new characters.
Of course, we are all here for the Spider-Man statue, aren’t we? Pictured aboveis just a concept photo and it states the full statue reveal will be in Summer 2018 which is winter for us here in Aus. Gentle Giant are the creators of this statue, so you can rest assured that it’s going to be excellent quality, you can check out their other works HERE at Gentle Giants website.
You also get the Steel Book edition of the game itself. Yes, this collector’s edition includes the actual game and the mini art-book titled Marvel Spider-Man the Art of The Game.
To round it all off the big beautiful red box with Insomniac’s version of the famous Spider-Man logo the game comes in, along with a Spider-Man Sticker you can place on your cat & or dog!
I have not missed a single Insomniac Game from their extensive history of titles in all my years, so to find out they had the big Marvel Character under their wings got me more excited than a 36-year old man has any right to be. Jumping straight from their Infamous titles and if you’re lucky enough to own an Oculus VR Headset, their well-received titles The Unspoken and Feral Rites, Insomniac have never let us down and I’m sure this game will show us how Spider-Man is done right.
All of this information comes from Game Informer, whose month of explosive Spidey coverage continues.
