Sherlockians we’re back. At long last Sherlock is heading to our screens for its fourth season, with its first episode coming to Stan on January 2, the same day as The UK and US.
Fans have been waiting out for a fourth season of the popular BBC show for three years, but at long last, the wait is over. The release date for Sherlock’s fourth season was announced with a surprise trailer during The Great British Bake Off. Alongside the release date, it has been revealed that the first episode will be titled The Six Thatchers.
The newest preview may seem like a copy of the one released just three months earlier, but fans were quick dust off their detective hats, finding two new minuscule snapshots at 0:50 and 0:52.
While fans were treated to some much-awaited information, there is still a lot up in the air about the series and its future. We may not know whether the fourth season will be Sherlock’s last hurrah, or if we will see the return of infamous villain Moriarty, but one thing is for certain, Sherlock, we missed you.
Set the date in your calendar, the popular series will return to Aussie screens January 2 on Stan.
