Jeff Goldblum and Liam Hemsworth officially join Independence Day 2 cast

After ALOT of false starts, Independence Day 2 is finally in the bag, and is currently scheduled to be released in Australia on June 23, 2016 through 20th Century Fox. Now we just need a to know a full cast, right? Well director Roland Emmerich has confirmed that even thought we won’t be getting Will Smith in the sequel, we will be getting original cast member, and godly figure Jeff Goldblum back as his character David Levinson. In addition, it has also been confirmed that Liam Hemsworth will join the cast, rumoured to play the son of Bill Pullman’s presidential character in the original film.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, up and coming actor Jessie Usher (from Starz series Survivor’s Remorse) will be playing a significant role, as the son of Will Smith’s Captain Steven Hiller.
