It has been confirmed that actor Jon Bernthal will be joining the cast of Edgar Wright‘s Baby Driver.
The cast of Baby Driver already include Ansel Elgort, Lily James, Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm and Kevin Spacey, with Wright helming
Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan will also be taking on the production reigns, along with Nira Park through her Big Talk Productions company. Baby Driver will be a 50/50 financial split between MRC and TriStar, with TriStar taking care of the worldwide distribution of the film.
The details of Bernthal’s role is being kept under wraps, with the film production expected to start later this year. The release date of Baby Driver is on March 17, 2017.
Bernthal has made a name for himself by undertaking the role as Shane in the first two seasons of The Walking Dead. He has also had some work done in film titles such as Fury, The Wolf of Wall Street and recently, Sicario. He will also appear in the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil as the Punisher, which will premiere next month.
