Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck gets a DVD & Blu-Ray release date

Kurt Cobain File Photos

Since its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Cobain: Montage of Heck by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Brett Morgen (Crossfire Hurricane, The Kid Stays In The Picture) has received a phenomenal response from fans and critics alike, and from June 4 it can be yours on Blu-ray and DVD.

Morgen received unprecedented access to Cobain’s personal and family archives by the late rocker’s estate as Kurt’s mother kept numerous amounts of videos and photos from Kurt’s childhood.

Noted as being the first fully authorised documentary on the troubled musician, Montage of Heck features first person testimonies from Kurt’s mother and sister, widow Courtney Love and ex band members among others.

In addition to the vast array of Nirvana songs (some unreleased material) the bonus features on the Cobain: Montage of Heck Blu-ray and DVD releases include an interview with Kurt’s father Don Cobain, an interview with Director Brett Morgen and the trailer.
