Nathan Lane and Matt Bomer are old friends and new roommates in first trailer for their new sitcom Mid-Century Modern

Described as a sitcom in the same vein as the classic Golden Girls, Will & Grace creators Max Mutchnick & David Kohan and executive producer Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story, Pose) have brought together a trio of friends by chance, but family by choice in Mid-Century Modern, which today has revealed its trailer ahead of its debut on Hulu, in the United States, and Disney+, in Australia, from March 28th, 2025.

Mid-Century Modern follows three best friends (or, preferably, gay gentlemen of a certain age), Bunny (Nathan Lane), Jerry (Matt Bomer) and Arthur (Nathan Lee Graham), who, after an unexpected death, decide to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs where Bunny, the wealthiest of the trio, lives with his mother, Sybil (Linda Lavin, in her final role before her ultimate passing). As a chosen family, they prove that no matter how hard things get, there’s always someone around to remind you it would be better if you got your neck done.

With an impressive line-up of guest stars on the roster, including Vanessa Bayer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Richard Kind, Billie Lourd, Cheri Oteri, and Zane Phillips, and, fittingly on a show about individuals of a certain age, serving as a welcome reminder that the multi-camera sitcom filmed in front of a live studio audience isn’t a lost art, Mid-Century Modern, by chance or by choice, could very well be a new century classic.

All 10 episodes of Mid-Century Modern will be available to stream on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in Australia from March 28th, 2025.
