Australia’s favourite detective Miss Phryne Fisher is back for a third season of puzzling cases in Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
This ABC favourite, starring Essie Davis as Fisher, returns on May 8th, and this season sees Phryne and DI Jack Robinson (Nathan Page) exploring the possibility of a relationship. We’ll also meet Phryne’s father, Baron Henry George Fisher (Pip Miller), who returns to Melbourne under the premise of reconnecting with Phryne, but he has an ulterior motive for returning to see his daughter.
This season is sure to contain some exciting cases, with Phryne delving into the wonderful world of magic in episode one, hunting for a lucrative and secret book of recipes that goes missing after the death of an Italian matriarch, and solving a mysterious murder at a tennis tournament.
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries features not only some of Australia’s finest young actors, but also a star studded guest cast and the acting talents of legendary English actress Miriam Margoyles.
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries season three commences on Friday, 8 May at 8:30pm on the ABC.
