Netflix picks up Lost In Space series reboot

Reported by The A.V Club, Netflix announced that they will be picking up the reboot series of Lost In Space, with plans to unleash the first ten-episode season.

The reboot has been quoted to be a “reimagining of the campy ’60s sci-fi show”. The producer known for his work on Prison Break Zach Estrin will be handling all showrunning duties while the screenwriters Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless will be writing all the scripts.

The show of course will focus on the Robinson clan and their forced battle with “a strange new alien environment, and also their own personal demons.”

In respects to the reboot plot, it does sound far easier than tackling the enemy of giant metal Gary Oldman spiders and bad mid-2000s haircuts they’ve had to deal with from the original version of the series.
