F*cking Adelaide, a new comedy-drama web series by Closer Productions (52 Tuesdays) has commenced shooting in – no surprises here – Adelaide.
Starring Australian TV icons including Wentworth star Pamela Rabe, Tilda Cobham-Hervey (The Kettering Incident) and Kate Box (Rake), each episode will look through the eyes of one of three sisters, who reunite to learn their childhood home is being put up for sale by their mother.
F*cking Adelaide was one of the main contenders of ABC and Screen Australia‘s Long Story Short Initiative, which aims to help fund up and coming narrative series, to be broadcast on ABC iview.
Director and Producer Sophie Hyde explained that “It’s a total delight for me to work with this stunning ensemble cast and to be creating this funny, and at times heartbreaking series in our hometown and alongside the crew we know and trust.”
“It’s refreshing to reclaim the jokes about Adelaide and laugh at ourselves while utilising all the things we relish about this city and speaking to the experience of family and home.”
F*cking Adelaide will stream on ABC iview in 2017.
