The teaser trailer for Focus has just been released. The film stars Will Smith as Nicky, a seasoned master of misdirection who becomes romantically involved with novice con artist Jess (Margot Robbie), who seems to have reprised the accent she nailed in The Wolf of Wall Street..
The trailer shows Nicky teaching Jess the tricks of the trade, and she eventually becomes “one of the best [Nicky’s] ever seen”. The pair begin to get a bit too close for comfort and Nicky abruptly breaks it off.
We see Jess emerge a femme fatale three years later in Buenos Aires in the middle of the high stakes racecar circuit. This is also in the midst of Nicky’s latest, very dangerous scheme. She throws his plans out the window and the consummate con man is off his game.
Focus is written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love).
Focus is scheduled for release in Australian cinemas on March 5, 2015.
