New unit revealed for Dawn of War III

In the lead-up to the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III,   Sega and Relic Entertainment have unveiled a new unit, the WraithKnight.

The WraithKnight is an Eldar unit with incredible power. This unit is extremely large, yet can remain nimble and agile on the battlefield. That combination can be extremely useful for Eldar players, and devastating for their opponents.

The WraithKnight comes equipped with two Heavy Wraithcannons, which make this unit best suited for ranged combat. A new pair of cannons not

A new pair of cannons are not the only things the WraithKnight brings onto the battlefield. This unit also has a jump ability, which allows it to get out of harms way when things become too dangerous.  Another ability this unit has is a focused beam attack, which fires a broad, long-range energy beam that decimates enemy’s who are unlucky enough to find themselves in your line of fire. The final ability is a distortion rift that reduces enemy mobility, which can be used in conjunction with your other units to create a devastating combo.

Even though the WraithKnight is extremely powerful, it does have its weaknesses. Like all Eldar units, the WraithKnight relies on Battle Focus and the health shield it provides. Once its focus is depleted, the WraithKnight is extremely vulnerable. Melee units can also tie up these units as they don’t have a way to quickly escape. Though, if you support your WraithKnight with your other troops, this unit is definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Dawn of War III is scheduled for release sometime in 2017 for PC. If you want to learn more about the WraithKnight or future updates about Dawn of War III, you can check out their website.
