So it appears that Game of Thrones isn’t the only HBO hit returning to screens on April 6, as the third season of comedy series Veep begins on the same day. The show stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer, and Louis-Dreyfus has already won two consecutive Emmy’s for her brilliant performance. The new season will follow Meyers’ attempts to lead a successful Presidential campaign that could land her the top job that she’s been so desperate for.
This trailer is effective in setting up the general plot of the new season, and the ‘lunch discussion’ format is a great way of taking us through the main characters. Will Selina jettison her staff in order to ensure her victory? Tune in when Veep returns to find out.
