Oscar Isaac to star in A Foreigner

Fresh off of his superb showing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Oscar Isaac has confirmed an upcoming role in A Foreigner.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, who directed Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, will direct the movie from a script by Chris Terrio of Batman v Superman.

The pic revolves around a murdered Guatemalan man who arranges for videos of his killers to be distributed after his death in order to uproot the corruption that has led to other killings. The story is based on David Grann’s 2011 New Yorker article A Murder Foretold.

Isaac’s name had been thrown around a lot, but due to his packed schedule (including work on the next Star Wars film), he was initially unable to commit.

In the meantime, anyone looking for some Oscar Isaac can catch him in X-Men: Apocalypse which releases on May 19.
