Popular tech vlogger and “Queen of Shitty Robots” Simone Giertz signs with Australian label

Robotics is still a complicated and often overwhelming concept to some people, but turning it into a playful, accessible, and downright bizarre field is increasingly sweeping the globe in part thanks to world-renowned Youtube Simone Giertz, dubbed “The Queen of Shitty Robots”. The Swedish inventor has created robots to feed her cereal, robots to help her argue on the internet, even a damn robotic popcorn helment…for some reason. This next level geekery has steady been attracting thousands of followers to Giertz’s Youtube channel, has landed her on The Ellen Show, and even led to a collaboration with Adam Savage (Mythbusters) on his new project, “Tested”.

Announced today, Giertz has confirmed that she has signed a global management deal to an Australian management: the Sydney-based Be Like Children, a big move for what is still early days for her as more and more people flock to what is a distinctive approach to making sense of the impact technology can have on everyday life.

“Simone is a brilliant inventor and hilarious on screen”. said Be Like Children Director Luke Girgis. “I am so excited to welcome her to the Be Like Children family and can’t wait to announce the big projects we have coming”.
