Screen Australia teams with Twitter on Tomorrow When the War Began TV series

In a ploy to further explore new media and interactive content, Twitter has partnered with Screen Australia to bring new elements of audience engagement to ABC3’s latest drama Tomorrow When the War Began.

The series is to be the first of four national dramas that will be produced as a part of the partnership, with the remaining three TV series to be announced soon.

The partnering will provide support for the production of Tomorrow When the War Began, specifically by using Twitter campaigns that will aim to connect characters and cast to the audiences.

The partnership will achieve this via developing unique, real-time online content and by releasing bonus scenes, episode Q&As and cast video chats through social media.

Tomorrow When the War Began will be a six-part series following the plotline of the John Marsden original novel. Michael Boughen will produce and the cast includes Australian talents Deborah Mailman, Madeleine Clunies-Ross and Andrew Creer among others.

Tomorrow When the War Began will premiere on the 23rd of April on ABC 3 at 7.30PM. Twitter users can join the conversation now by using the hash tag #TWTWB.
