Stan Original series No Activity returns stateside for its second season

Australian streaming service Stan and CBS All Access have confirmed that a second season of the US adaptation of the Australian comedy series No Activity, Stan’s first original series to hit the US. The first season of No Activity is currently streaming on Stan, coming from executive producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. 

Nick Forward, Stan’s Chief Content Officer commented on the news, saying “The first US season of No Activity continued the success of the Original Australian series, and was a huge hit with Stan subscribers, featuring some of the biggest names in global comedy. We can’t wait to see where Trent, Patrick and the team take these characters next.”

Julia McNamara, Executive Vice President of Original Content for CBS All Access added to this, stating “As CBS All Access’ first original comedy series, No Activity flipped conventional storytelling on its head by showcasing some of the world’s best comedic talent as they hilariously explored the mundane lives of every day cops and criminals. While the first season pushed boundaries and broke rules, we are confident that Trent O’Donnell and Patrick Brammall, along with their partners at Funny Or Die and Gary Sanchez Productions, have just scratched the surface and will deliver a new season that continues to elevate this as a truly one-of-a-kind series.”

No Activity follows two beat cops who have spent too much time in the car together, complete with two criminals yet to reveal themselves, two dispatch workers struggling to get along, and a couple of Mexican tunnellers who a place too small for the two of them.

The all-star comedy cast of the first season of the US adaptation of No Activity features the likes of co-developer Patrick Brammall (Offspring) and Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live). No Activity is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Funny Or Die, Jungle and Gary Sanchez Productions, and is co-developed and executive produced by Trent O’Donnell and Patrick Brammall alongside executive producers Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Jason Burrows and Joe Farrell.
