Star Trek‘s newest series gets a title and a brand new ship

This past weekends San Diego Comic-Con was a showcase of news, reveals and pop culture mayhem and Star Trek has unveiled some information of its own regarding its new television series.

During the Star Trek 50th Anniversary panel, executive producer Bryan Fuller gave fans a glimpse of the brand new Starfleet ship, the U.S.S. Discovery with a short video.

The ships name will also serve as the title for the show which will drop on Netflix in January 2017 in 188 countries. Each episode of Star Trek: Discovery will be available 24 hours after its U.S premiere.
