Stephen Page’s Spear Recieving Limited Theatrical Release

Following a string of sold-out premieres at the Sydney Festival, ACMI and the Perth International Arts Festival, Stephen Page’s Spear is set for a limited series of screenings across Australia.

Spear follows a young man named Djali (Hunter Page-Lochard) from the Australian outback to the streets of Sydney on his quest to understand what it means to be a man with ancient traditions in a modern world.

Alongside this limited-release will be a number of special Q&A screenings. The first of these will be at Perth’s Luna Outdoor on the 10th and 11th of March (featuring John Harvey).

Canberra’s NFSA Arc Cinema and Melbourne’s Cinema Nova will are holding their Q&A screenings on the 12nd (featuring Stephen Page)  and 13th (featuring Stephen Page, Aaron Pederson and John Harvey).

Page first debuted as a filmmaker to critical acclaim in 2012 with ‘Sand’, a chapter of the Australian feature film, The Turning.

Spear releases in select cinemas on 10 March.
