Streaming service Stan announces huge lineup of upcoming content

Australian streaming service Stan has recently announced a slew of both new and original content, of which will be coming to the streaming service in the coming months.

UnREAL – Season 3

First up, the critically acclaimed series UnREAL will premiere its third season exclusively on Stan starting 27 February, 2018. Set in the world of a dating reality show, Everlasting, Rachel Goldberg serves as a lead producer, who is  renowned for her tampering of relationships with, and among, the contestants in order to obtain dramatic and outrageous footage for her executive producer, Quinn King. Starring Shiri Appleby (Roswell) and Constance Zimmer (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)UnREAL will look to shake things up more than ever. You can check out the newest season in the trailer below:

Supernatural – Seasons 1-12

Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles star as the Winchester brothers, battling the forces of evil, as seasons 1-12 of the hit show Supernatural are now streaming on Stan.

Claws – Season 1

Stan will premiere the entire first season of Claws, starring Niecy Nash (Scream Queens), Carrie Preston (True Blood) and Judy Reyes (Scrubs). Claws is a series about good women caught in bad places with worse men. Set in Florida at a nail salon, we follow five manicurists who embark on a journey into the world of organised crime when they begin laundering money for a nearby pain clinic.

Claws will premiere 25 October, exclusively on Stan.

No Activity – Season 1

No Activity is based on the first ever Stan Original, and is an Americanised take on the original Australian series. Starring Patrick Brammall and Tim Meadows, and produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, No Activity follows the case of a major drug cartel, and two cops who have spent way too much time in the car together.

No Activity will premiere 13 November, exclusively on Stan.

Romper Stomper – 6- part Drama Series

Based on the iconic 1992 film of the same name, Romper Stomper analyses the concept of extremism, and follows a new generation of activists, and the anti-fascists determined to stop them, and the multicultural fabric of a country each of them threatens to dismantle.

Jacqueline McKenzie (The Water Diviner, Love Child) and Dan Wylie (Love My Way, Puberty Blues) return to their roles from the original 1992 film while joined by Lachy Hulme (Power Games: The Packer-Murdoch Story, Beaconsfield) and Sophie Lowe (The Beautiful Lie, The Slap).

Romper Stomper will premiere exclusively on Stan this Summer.

I’m Dying Up Here – Season 2

Stan has announced that Jim Carrey produced comedy I’m Dying Up Here has been renewed for a second season that will air exclusively on Stan sometime in 2018.

I’m Dying Up Here follows a group of stand up comedians taking the stage during the 1970’s, delving into the mids of characters desperate for their ‘big break’.

Season 1 had starred Academy Award winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter, Treme), Ari Graynor (Bad Teacher) and Michael Angarano (The Knick).

While an official cast for the second season has not been announced, we can only hope that the majority of the cast returns. I’m Dying Up Here season 2 will air sometime in 2018, exclusively on Stan.
