SXSW 2020 adds Janelle Monae, Julianne Moore, and Kim Kardashian West to its final round of keynote and featured speakers

South by Southwest (Austin, Texas, March 13th-22nd 2020) has announced the last round of Keynotes and Featured Speakers to be added to the 34th edition of its annual Conference, which celebrates the convergence of technology, film, and music industries.

Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe-winning composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have been added to the line-up to join Emmy-winning executive producer and writer Damon Lindelof to discuss their collaboration on the acclaimed Watchmen series; Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, actress, and activist Janelle Monae, and writer-director of the acclaimed The Farewell, Lulu Wang, have similarly been added to the Keynote lineup, alongside Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore (in a conversation with Pink Floyd founder, Roger Waters), and Cat Packer, the Executive Director of Los Angeles Department of Cannabis Regulation.

Featured Speakers revealed include writer-director Judd Apatow (whose film The King of Staten Island serves as the festival’s opening night feature), Academy Award-winning filmmaker Spike Jonze, The Good Place actress and activist Jameela Jamil in conversation with President and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center and co-founder of TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund Fatima Goss Graves, Oscar and Emmy Award-winning actress and Creative Council chair of Everytown for Gun Safety Julianne Moore, and criminal justice activist Kim Kardashian West.
