SXSW announces full film speaker lineup

The South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival has announced its Conference Keynotes, Featured Conversations and Full Conference Lineup.

The SXSW Film Conference is set to cover a breadth of topics, from content creation to new distribution models to what’s next in the film industry.

The 2016 SXSW Film keynote speakers are Nelson George, Gale Anne Hurd and Joe Swanberg.

“At a time when media makers are creating content for ever expanding platforms, or hopscotching between them, we are pleased by the breadth of experience of this year’s speakers. They have rich, long careers that evolved using the tools of our changing times” said Head of SXSW Film Conference and Festival Janet Pierson.

In addition to the Festival’s nine days of film screenings, the SXSW Film Conference will feature 200 informative and entertaining sessions, such as Future of Entertainment sessions with J.J. AbramsAndrew JareckiGeena Davis, Sam EsmailRami Malek, Christian Slater, Kerry Washington and the creators of Broad City; a SXgood Featured Session with Ken Burns & Henry Louis Gates; and SouthBites Featured Speaker Anthony Bourdain. 

Additional featured speakers include Don Cheadle, Joel Edgerton, Gaby Hoffmann, Joe BerlingerBarbara Kopple, Andrew Bujalski and David Lowery, Louis Black and Leonard MaltinJake Gyllenhaal and Sarah Green.
