Quentin Tarantino’s new film The Hateful Eight has been through the ringer. From proposed book adaptations to table readings to lawsuits over the leaked screenplay, the prolific filmmaker’s newest venture hasn’t exactly had a clear direction. But things have smoothed out over time and we now have received a teaser, albeit no footage.
The next stage in production is finally complete as the western has finally cemented its cast. Quentin has compiled a cavalcade of his former cast members to construct his Hateful Eight. Samuel L. Jackson is Major Marquis Warren; Kurt Russell who previously starred in Tarantino’s Death Proof stars as John “The Hangman” Ruth; Michael Madsen is Joe Gage; Tim Roth plays Oswaldo Mobray and Walton Goggins after a sinster turn in Django Unchained stars as Chris Mannix.
Rounding out the cast, Jennifer Jason Leigh is Daisy Domergue, Demian Bichir stars as Bob and Bruce Dern is General Sanford Smithers.
In a surprising casting choice, Channing Tatum has signed on for an unspecified role.
The Hateful Eight set to start filming in the beginning of 2015.
