The latest teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie 2 has dropped, not only taking me back to my childhood, but helping me realise that Lego is awesome regardless of age. With that said, The LEGO Movie franchise returns, bringing back what you love, along with some fun and fresh ideas.
Taking place in a post apocalyptic world (expect plenty of Mad Max references), Emmett returns as the everyman with a positive attitude that still doesn’t quite blend in to those around him. However, when a new alien threat turns things upside down, Emmett must once again channel his ‘master builder’ in what seems like journey filled with hilarious social commentary, clever jabs a pop culture, and that awesome stop-motion style animation that gels it all together. Though no official release date has yet been announced for Australia, we can expect to see The LEGO Movie 2 sometime in 2019.
