Does Making a Murderer still keep you up at night? Do you have itching questions about the hit documentary that you need to ask the filmmakers as soon as you can? Breathe a sigh of relief because co-creators Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos are heading to Sydney next month for an exclusive talk as part of The Sydney Herald Spectrum Now Festival Presented by ANZ.
The co-creators will join festival ambassador Charlie Pickering on stage at The Star Event Centre on Thursday 10th March for a one-hour in-depth talk about the original ten-part documentary. Of course, a Q&A with the audience will be featured. This rounds out the talks program for this year’s Spectrum Now festival and will be the pairs only Australia public appearance.
“We always wanted Making A Murderer to start a dialogue around important issues in our criminal justice system,” said directors Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos. “We are thrilled that so many people all over the world are responding to the concept of fairness and equality, and we can’t wait to come to Australia to continue this discussion.”
“If we had not been there to witness these events we would have trouble believing they actually occurred. Our goal has always been to share that experience with viewers. Our partnership with Netflix has allowed us to tell this story in a way that wouldn’t have been possible anywhere else,” continued Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos.
