The final trailer for Kong: Skull Island arrives a week out from its release

Hitting cinemas next Thursday, the anticipated Kong: Skull Island has dropped one final trailer ahead of its worldwide release, which features the iconic monster punching some helicopters. It’s no Die Hard 4, but it’s still pretty cool. You can watch it here:

This return to the world of Kong is setting the character up for a face-off against Godzilla in a future film. Here’s everything you need to know about the film:

This compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) tells the story of a diverse team of scientists, soldiers and adventurers uniting to explore a mythical uncharted island in the Pacific, as dangerous as it is beautiful. Cut off from everything they know, the team ventures into the domain of the mighty Kong, igniting the ultimate battle between man and nature. As their mission of discovery becomes one of survival, they must fight to escape a primal Eden in which humanity does not belong. In 2017, all hail the King.

Kong: Skull Island is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Tian Jing, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Thomas Mann, Shea Whigham, Toby Kebbell, Eugene Cordero, Terry Notary.

Kong: Skull Island releases in Australian cinemas on March 9, 2017.
