Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul was unsurprisingly met with massive acclaim with it premiered on AMC last year for it’s first season. Watching Jimmy McGill slowly but surely head down to path towards loveable dodgy lawyer (slash real life Lionel Hutz) Saul Goodman was fascinating to say the least, placing the show’s second season as one of the most anticipated television shows of this year. Now, AMC has released our first look at footage from the new season.
In a 30 second trailer we see Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman, playing right alongside a returning Jonathan Banks as fan fav Mike Ehrmantraut, as well as Michael McKean as Chuck McGill and Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler. The footage looks to rapidly head towards a full transition, filling the brief look with implications of fake evidence and a lawyer who is fed up with “doing the right thing”.
Second one was nominated for six Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (for Odenkrik). While it failed to win in any of these categories, Better Call Saul remains a worthy successor to the universally acclaimed Breaking Bad.
Better Call Saul also topped our list of last year’s best TV shows, which you can view HERE.
Better Call Saul will start it’s second season on February 15th, 2016.
