A few weeks ago The Iris posted about a new musical from Whiplash director Damien Chazelle. This week, a new trailer for La La Land was released, giving us a a good taste of the anticipated film.
It seems the film is attracting attention from industry insiders ahead of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), with organisers suggesting it will be a major player come awards season.
The new trailer features the song “Audition” and smacks of a return to the golden days of Hollywood go-to pairings. Gosling and Stone certainly have palpable on-screen chemistry, as was evident in Crazy Stupid Love. Nothing seems to have changed here.
In Australia, La La Land will be released on December 26th through Entertainment One.
