The Week’s DVD Release Picks: A Fitting Farewell to Paul Walker

A franchise delivers a fitting farewell to its star in this week’s DVD releases.

Fast and Furious 7
Say what you will about the Furious franchise, but seven films down and it’s still as popular as ever.  At the time of printing, Furious 7 sits as the 5th highest grossing film of all time internationally; the first in the series to gross over $1 billion. The final film of the late Paul WalkerFast and Furious 7 is a fitting and emotional send off to the film’s star. The film also stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Michelle Rodriguez.

NCIS Seasons 1 – 12
NCIS is a crime drama staple, and is still going strong after 12 strong seasons. Mark Harmon stars as Special Agent Gibbs, the gruff yet brilliant detective, with Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perette and David McCallum as his friends and protégé. NCIS still remains as entertaining and exciting as it did back in season one – and not many television shows can say that.

Testament of Youth
Vera Brittain was a young writer and student whose life was shattered by WWI. Testament of Youth demonstrates how the First World War ripped apart an entire generation and robbed them of their innocence and idealism – and, for many young men and women, their lives. Girl of the moment Alicia Vikander stars as Brittain, with Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington starring as her lover, Roland Leighton.
