Goya award-winning Spanish director Daniel Guzmán will be welcomed at this year’s annual Spanish Film Festival as a special guest. Guzmán began his career as an actor at the age of 14 and has worked many roles in the movie, theatre and TV industries. After gaining experience as an actor, he then began writing, producing and directing as a career.
In his appearance at the Spanish Film Festival, Guzmán will be introducing his autobiographical film Nothing In Return (A CAMBIO DE NADA). The film has won him several awards at Málaga Film Festival (Best Film, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Critics’ Award) and Goya Awards (Best New Director, Best New Actor). His film has been described as an unmissable, coming-of-age tale. Guzmán will be visiting Sydney and Melbourne for both the festival’s opening nights as well as special Q&A sessions.
With its entertaining lineup of various films, this year’s Spanish Film Festival will include a huge range of award-winners, comedies, dramas, thrillers and documentaries. The program includes 32 films and a session of short films and these will be screened exclusively at Palace Cinemas around Australia.
