The second official trailer has been released for the film adaptation/reboot of the rebooted Tomb Raider games. As confusing as it sounds, Tomb Raider’s recent resurgence has risen to critical acclaim, with 2 games inspiring the latest film starring Academy Award-wining actress Alicia Vikander.
The trailer admittedly gives us much of the action seen in the first trailer, but takes the film in a new unseen direction by diving into Lara’s past with her father, and the mysterious island she has set out to explore, uncovering the dark secrets and history of the island, while learning she is capable of more than she ever thought possible. While no official release date has been given, you can expect to catch Tomb Raider in theatres sometime in 2018.
