Top End Wedding indigenous internships now open for application

Screen Australia’s Indigenous Department will fund internships for four Northern Territory-based indigenous screen practitioners, to take part in the upcoming Goalpost Pictures film Top End Wedding.

Applications are now open for various positions such as First Assistant Director, Art Department, Camera Department, Production and Sound. Available exclusively to NT based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants over the age of 18, the internship will run for a minimum period of 5 consecutive weeks, with participants are eligible to earn up to $1,200 per week (before tax).

The internships are expected to begin sometime in April, with successful applicants being notified on the 5 March, 2018. These internships will look to give indigenous filmmakers and screen practitioners a chance to break into the film industry, while allowing successful applicants to be part of an Australian project that will showcase the contemporary culture of the Northern Territory.
