Vikings, Warcraft star Travis Fimmel to attend Supanova Expo in Sydney and Perth

Australian actor Travis Fimmel will attend local Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Sydney and Perth in June.

The Aussie thespian from country Victoria has garnered international praise for his portrayal of Ragnar Lothbrok in critically acclaimed historical drama Vikings, created and written by Michael Hirst. He also stars as Sir Anduin Lothar, the main hero of the Alliance, in the fantasy epic film Warcraft directed by Duncan Jones, that opens in the US on June 10.

Fimmel stars in the Rebecca Miller film, Maggie’s Plan alongside Greta Gerwig that has been chosen as a featured film at this year’s Sydney Film Festival. He has also been cast in the lead role of Captain Katczinsky in anti-war film All Quiet on the Western Front.

While the finale of part one of season four of Vikings aired on SBS last week, the show returns to Aussie screens for part two sometime in September. Warcraft: The Beginning, based on the Blizzard game World of Warcraft, opens in Australia on June 16.

Supanova’s Sydney and Perth event is being heralded as “colossal” with its “Vikings, Vampires and Werewolves” line-up. The event takes place in Sydney (June 17-19) and Perth (June 25-26) and you can check out all the superstar guests that are attending here.
