Kristen Stewart‘s latest film, Personal Shopper, or better known as the film that was horrifically booed at the Cannes Film Festival this year, has an international trailer.
While Personal Shopper was the boo-er’s choice for this year, to put things in perspective, Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver and Nicolas Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives were all booed at their first Cannes screening.
The complicate matters even further, while Personal Shopper was booed at its press screening, The Independent reports that the film’s public screening was rewarded with a four-minute standing ovation.
Personal Shopper follows Maureen (Stewart), an American personal shopper working in Paris for a European celebrity. Maureen is a personal shopper by day and an amateur medium by night, desperate to be contacted by her recently deceased brother.
Take a look:
Personal Shopper is directed by Olivier Assayas, who had had great success at Cannes in 2014 with Clouds of Sils Maria, also starring Stewart.
You be the judge.
