Watch the trailer for the new Sacha Baron Cohen film The Brothers Grimsby

From Borat to The Dictator, Sacha Baron Cohen is a name that’s almost impossible to ignore; his brand of comedy is a constant source of controversy, but when it’s done right, it’s done brilliant (case in point: Borat). Sony Pictures are hoping that he does it right again this time with the forthcoming The Brothers Grimsby, an action-comedy that teams Cohan up with Mark Strong, as well as Rebel Wilson and Now You See Me Director Louis Leterrier.

The trailer very much looks like a breakneck first person shooter, with Strong playing Sebastian, the estranged younger brother of Nobby (Cohen) who is M16’s deadliest assassin. Nobby, on the other hand, is a dim-witted father of 11 children with the “most gorgeous girlfriend in the northeast of England” (Wilson) as his main focus in life, that is until he uncovers plans for an imminent global terrorist attack.

Sounds silly? Of course it does. It’s Sacha Baron Cohen. However, early reactions from critics have been very positive, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it will at least be a very interesting watch.

The Brothers Grimsby will be released in March 2016
