You Only Live Twice, GO! 9:30 pm AEST

The 1967 instalment of the James Bonds series stars the suave Sean Connery as the famous 007 agent. A typically Cold War era film, Bond and the Japanese secret service must work together to prevent World War III breaking out between Russia and America, after one of America’s space capsules goes missing.

Tuesday

The Hunger Games, Ch. 9, 9 pm AEST

Relive the magic of the first Hunger Games film that propelled Jennifer Lawrence to super stardom and kicked off the successful franchise. Adapted from the popular trilogy by Suzanne Collins, the film follows Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) after she voluntarily takes her younger sister’s place in a fight to the death. If you haven’t hopped on The Hunger Games train yet, now is your chance to get on board! Stanley Tucci, Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks also star.

Scandal, Ch. 7, 9:30 pm AEST

Catch a double dose of Scandal this Tuesday night. The critically acclaimed series, created by Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice), stars the talented Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, press aide to the President. Watch the fall out as Pope’s affair with President comes to light.

Wednesday

David Attenborough’s Life, Ch. 9, 7:30 pm AEST

Attenborough’s famous nature documentaries are always worth viewing, and this episode is particularly spectacular. It follows the life of mammals, and includes weeks of filming in Antarctic to bring the life of seals to the screen in intimate and fascinating detail.

Troy, GO! 8.30pm AEST

An epic action film about the Trojan War, watch the Greeks with the help of Achilles (played by the one and only Brad Pitt) take on the powerful Trojans. Diane Kruger stars as the famously beautiful Helen of Troy, and Orlando Bloom plays Paris, the lover who tempted her away from her husband.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, SBS 2, 10:15 pm AEST

Get ready for Halloween with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), a classic of the horror genre, just as gory and confronting now as it was when it first came out. Not to be watched alone!
