Monday
Win Win, ONE, 9.30 pm AEST
This skilfully created drama-comedy will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. Paul Giamatti stars as lawyer/high school wrestling coach Mike Flaherty who discovers wrestling talent in the troubled grandson of one of his clients. The talented Amy Ryan also features as his wife, busy raising their two children in their quiet suburban home. The film honestly portrays its characters, allowing them all to be flawed and yet lovable.
Tuesday
Love Actually, Ch. 7, 8:30 pm AEST
Get into the festive spirit with the Richard Curtis classic Love Actually. Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant lead the all-star cast. The film features all the characters in different, interlinking storylines as Christmas approaches in snowy London. It is worth watching for the Hugh Grant dancing down the corridor scene alone.
Wednesday
QI, ABC, 8:01 pm AEST
Keep in the British festive spirit with Stephen Fry and tune into the QI Christmas special. The hilarious Alan Davies and Jo Brand feature as panellists.
Would I Lie To You?, ABC, 9:32 pm AEST
Helmed as always by the funny and clever Rob Brydon, this Christmas special also features the endearing Miranda Hart. Would I Lie To You works on the premise that the panellists tell a ridiculous story that may or may not be true, while the others have to guess if it is factual, which can lead to some revealing moments.
