Winner of both the Best First Feature award at the Berlinale and Best Narrative Feature at Tribeca, The Rocket is now being released on DVD!
The family of unruly and inquisitive Young Ahlo have been forced to evacuate its homeland after the government earmark it for the construction site of a colossal dam. Now accompanied by a pair of ragged misfits, uprooted and with little money the family now attempt to cross the tribal highlands of Laos, a country still scarred by war. Repeated misfortune soon befalls the family and Ahlo, who is said to be cursed, will over the course of the wearing journey be unfairly blamed for much of their despair.
But Ahlo will not be denied. With the help of a damaged former CIA soldier he sets out to prove wrong all those that doubt him. He builds a rocket determined to show his parents that he is not a cursed child and in doing so hopes to win the most dangerous competition of the year: The Rocket Festival. To celebrate The Rocket‘s released on DVD we’ve got TEN copies to give away!
